HTML Sitemap

A HTML sitemap is a page that usually contains links to every page on a site. This gives search engines easy access to your site for crawling as it takes just one step to get to everything. (Note that a HTML sitemap is different to an XML sitemap.)

It's recommended to have a robust internal linking strategy instead but this is a decent accompaniment or workaround if that isn't possible.

HTML sitemaps were more popular in the 90s and early 00s but have since gone out of fashion. That doesn't mean they aren't useful, from a SEO perspective. It's also handy for me!
