In 2012, I answered the Proust Questionnaire and brought it over from my old blog. I’m taking it again.

  • What is your idea of perfect happiness? Never needing to use Twitter again. And to be left alone.

  • What is your greatest fear? White people.

  • What is the trait you most deplore in yourself? Unbridled modesty.

  • What is the trait you most deplore in others? Obsession with ego.

  • What is your greatest extravagance? Music. And love.

  • What do you consider the most overrated virtue? Back-patting about virtues.

  • What is the quality you most like in a man? Not being racist.

  • What is the quality you most like in a woman? Not being racist.

  • Which words or phrases do you most overuse? “Sorry.”

  • Which talent would you most like to have? The ability to play the piano.

  • What do you consider your greatest achievement? Becoming a father.

  • If you were to die and come back as a person or a thing, what would it be? Myself, as I’d miss my son.

  • Where would you most like to live? Lisbon.

  • What is your most treasured possession? My music collection.

  • What is your most marked characteristic? Quietness.

  • What do you most value in your friends? Actively listening and engaging with me.

  • What is your greatest regret? Not getting better grades in maths at college.
