stop comparing people and things to children. whether it’s chatbots, powerful white men, or even animals, it has to stop. children are constantly chastised and mistreated for trying to navigate a world they didn’t create. they’re figuring out new emotions everyday and the best we can do is give them the space and grace to do it. what doesn’t help is making them feel less than and then using them as proxies for people and things that generate some of the worst outcomes in history. children don’t do that. how can we expect them to be better or do better when we set them up like that?
next time you see Elon Musk or Peter Thiel or Sam Altman do something shitty, call them out for being white men profiting of the riches of white supremacy or call them white supremacists outright (i do). children of all ages need not enter the equation. ever.
