James wrote about “website superpowers” asked what everyone’s power would be. The post mentioned “tag healing” which sounded like something I do often:
The definition I caught was that tag healing is related to reviewing and, if necessary, consolidating, tags used for blog posts or documents.
Honestly, it’s my favourite blogging task and I almost did it yesterday before I got distracted by something else. James also mentioned his desired superpower:
I wanted my superpower to be instant recall of all the URLs on my website, such that I would be able to find the document relevant to a discussion or blog post immediately. As the discussion progressed, I expanded this idea, thinking it would be cool to be able to remember the URL of any web page. To be more precise, I would want to remember the URL of any web page I had visited.
I wouldn’t say that I have *ahem* total recall of the URLs on my website but it definitely feels like I have an indexes in my head for all my blogs and a quick search often locates something I need.
But in terms of my own superpower, I’d want to have the ability to create embeddings for all my posts in my head and match the similar ones to link them together. I do this a lot outside of my brain but imagine having that actual power? I’d be like a Metagross (known for having 4 supercomputer-like brains). Either that or generating ontologies and pruning my sites without external help. The really nerdy stuff lol
