James (of James’ Coffee Blog) wrote about growing with his website and asked the following question:
What has been the biggest change to your website since you started it? Or, alternatively: how have you changed since you started your website?
For me, if we’re talking since my first ever website, there have been so many major changes as you’d expect as we’d have to go back to the early 2000s. So I’ll answer the alternative question: how have you changed since you started your website?
The answer is a lot. My writing has always been quite retrospective but as time has passed, my views have become more refined and so has my writing. My life is different as I’ve gone through school, university (twice), had many jobs, relationships and I have a 10 year old son. I wouldn’t say that my website has reflected all those changes directly but the consistent element throughout has been change, ironically. I was on WordPress for a while before using Grav before finally settling on Astro since 2022. Now the changes I make are minor tweaks in comparison; colours and fonts. I get the itch to go wild sometimes and refresh everything but I settled on a light green background and new H1 font a few months ago. Subtle but effective. Much like me.
