In the most significant ways, the COVID-19 pandemic has been unprecedented. But pandemics and outbreaks aren’t a global rarity and this one has shown how the world’s infrastructures and systems aren’t risk tested. It’s alarming how we have little choice to put and money and faith in systems that have panicked and not had a single clue what to do. Is that the epitome of capitalism?
